Tom Wolf criticizes Kane’s handling of sting operation

HARRISBURG PATRIOT-NEWS: The front-runner in the Democratic race for governor split with his colleagues Tuesday and openly criticized Attorney General Kathleen Kane for not prosecuting the legislators caught taking stacks of cash during a sting operation launched by Kane’s predecessors in office.

Kane has said the case was irretrievably damaged, offering a variety of reasons including: a sweetheart deal for the confidential informant in the case that made it -in her opinion – impossible to prosecute and alleged racist targeting that’s denied by the agents involved.

In a meeting with the PennLive editorial board, Wolf said, “C’mon – The way different attorneys general have handled this? I think is wrong… That criticism goes across the board from the attorneys general who started this to the current Attorney General.” … (more)

EDITOR: What an amateur. Wolf is shooting off his mouth on a matter where he has little knowledge. And attacking his own party! Certainly the Democrats have better candidate, if not richer.
