  1. While congrats to the students are in order, do the parents and administrators of McCaskey high school think these college placements would have been unattainable without IB? Was it worth spending $200,000 a year for 11 students?

University of Nairobi, huh? Interesting choice. The Christmas Underwear bomber was an IB Diploma graduate. Grad school in Yemen, perhaps?

Editor’s response: Although a select group of eleven received the IB diplomas, scores of others benefited from taking many of qualifying classes. Some equally talented students choose not to fulfill all of the arduous course requirements.

  2. Congratulations to all the students!! You really have accomplished a lot. As and IB Mom I know it was hard work and you should be very proud of yourselves for making it happen! And parents, congrats to you also for your support of your child. You’ve done well also.

Don’t pay any mind to “Anonymous”. It’s nothing personal against you guys, she just doesn’t have a clue what it takes to be successful in this rigorous program and what an accomplishment it really is to do what you guys have done.

    Enjoy your success and congratulations!
