If Marv Adams and Gil Smart REALLY wanted to do an investigative series on the Convention Center woes; they would have started and finished by detailing the one-sided agreement between PSP and the Convention Center Authority. They would have included how MOST of the hotel financing was with PUBLIC FUNDS to benefit a PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP.
Rather than passing the shortfall onto hoteliers and taxpayers, why not call on PSP (and all proponents) to make up the shortfall and get a NEW AGREEMENT in place,then see how that works for a year or two before increasing any taxes; which should ONLY be done with a voting referundum approval at the next primary.
Maybe our elected county officials could force the issue!!!!!!!
