Last time I checked governor Wolfe is not a republican. He asked her to resign. Case closed.
EDITOR: Fair point. We have pondered why Wolf jumped in so early in the dissuasion to help force Kane from office.
We do reflect that Wolf is a product of York County, an area noted for its ‘ole boy’ nature.
Earlier Kane had challenged in court his right to create a moratorium on death penalties in the state. Perhaps as governor Wolf has a natural desire to appoint his own attorney general, someone who would cover his back.
It is not NewsLanc task to defend Kane. But we do believe that the ‘ole boy network’ should not be allowed to force a top elected official out of office with her having her day in court or being impeached by the Assembly and convicted by the Senate.
The Gov. Wolf should have urged the same. We are disappointed in him for not doing so.
