“Reading that, knowing it was being circulated on state time, among people in the agency that is supposed to enforce state laws and put bad guys like Jerry Sandusky away, should blow the dials off any thinking person’s outrage meter.
“Until Thursday’s disclosures by Kane, news reports described the communications in question as “racy emails” – a sanitized term that doesn’t convey the full force of the repulsive behavior that was taking place among these state employees.
“When you know the details of what these state workers were sending on state computers during state work time – images and videos of anal sex, oral sex, lesbian sex – it becomes clear just how outrageously depraved the work climate was there.”
WATCHDOG: That people watch pornography is hardly news or reason for condemnation from us. It is among the earliest art work and is enjoyed by a large portion of the male population and perhaps a significant part of the female.
Our criticism is only that the employees should be watching on their on time, not on the tax payers dime.
So we rate it as a transgression equivalent to making personal calls during the workday.
We wonder what the Patriot-News editors watch during their leisure time. Perhaps a little pornography would do their marriages some good.
