Bias or just sloppy journalism?

Special to NewsLanc in reference to prominent Intelligencer Journal New Era article of February 10th:

One McCaskey ‘Star’

 

Three  Manheim Township ‘Stars’

  • Basketball ‘star’ go to distance college after McCaskey.
  • Crime?  Accused of skipping out on a $30 restaurant tab with no explanation why others with him weren’t charged with their supposed ‘share’.
  • Lancaster Newspapers prints a top-of-the-fold local section story with kid’s name and picture regarding crime.
 
  • Basketball ‘stars’, two go to local college after ‘Township’
  • Crime?  They broke into a bar and stole a number of   bottles of booze.
  • Names withheld
     
  • Charges?  2 Summaries and a misdemeanor
 
  • Charges? Three FELONIES and a misdemeanor
  • Lancaster Newspapers informs the distant school’s administrators of the accusation.
  •  
    • Lancaster Newspapers never prints a word about the kids.
    Lancaster Newspapers wants to know what punishment the coaches will exacted, now that they have been informed of the accusation.  
    • Lancaster Newspapers reporters never expose the ‘stars’ names even when writing about their ‘sweet heart deals’ where they get their charges wiped off their record, so their ‘careers’ are not ruined.
