It isn’t so much who normally writes the editorials as who may do so on that person’s day off.
We have admired editorial after editorial over the past few days, if not necessarily agreeing with them but recognizing their thoughtful content. For example of excellence, check out “We’re number 2: No cause to cheer” and “The long march to overturn Roe.” But every once in a while, some lame brained, fact deprived, fringe conservative gets to have his or her say. It stands out like a sore thumb.
As was pointed out during the Republican confab over the weekend, the party needs to stop allowing itself to be represented by extremists making stupid comments. It can start here in Lancaster.
