Voter ID opponents say state’s ad campaign is misleading

From the HARRISBURG PATRIOT-NEWS:

Three Capital Area Transit buses drove past him in a matter of minutes, each bearing a sign covering the length of its body that shouted in big white letters, “SHOW IT” next to a picture of a driver’s license.

Above that message in smaller type were the words: “This Election Day if you have it.” ….

“It’s incredibly misleading,” said [Witold Walczak, legal director of the ACLU of Pennsylvania], who helped lead the legal team that challenged the state’s voter ID law and won a partial victory in Commonwealth Court that got that requirement put on hold for the Nov. 6 election…
