Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett is scheduled to attend Friday evening’s Penn State University Trustees’ emergency meeting. It is an unusual appearance for the Governor, and the circumstance of the meeting, the sordid child molestation charges against Penn State coaching legend, Jerry Sandusky, is also unusual.
Why the Governor would impose himself on such a meeting has not been explained. But his interest in going to the meeting raises questions about Corbett’s previous role or non-role in the Sandusky case.
In 1998, according to the recently released two-year grand jury report into the charges, the then Centre County District Attorney, Ray Gricar, had reviewed allegations against Sandusky, including a police report of two conversations secretly recorded by police of Sandusky admitting to the mother of an 11 year-old boy inappropriate behavior with her son.
Despite this, and additional evidence from a “lengthy” internal investigation by Penn State into Sandusky, District Attorney Gricar, with a reputation for rectitude and integrity, decided not to press charges against Sandusky.
A reasonable question is whether a straight-arrow DA like Gricar, a Republican, when confronted with an unprecedentedly explosive case involving a major Pennsylvania institution and personage, would turn to a superior to confer on the case. A person to whom Gricar might naturally turn would be the Pennsylvania Attorney General. In 1998, the Attorney General of Pennsylvania was D. Michael Fisher, a Republican in the Tom Ridge administration
Gricar stayed in office for several years after the first investigation. As the grand jury report has pointed out, there were other eye witnessed accounts of Sandusky sexually assaulting young boys during those years, between 1998 and 2005.
It is again reasonable that reports of those incidents reached District Attorney Gricar. In 2004, the Attorney General for the state of Pennsylvania was current Gov. Tom Corbett.
With mounting evidence against Sandusky, did Gricar confer with the Attorney General Corbett about prosecution of Sandusky? The Governor should answer that question.
In 2005, District Attorney Ray Gricar went missing and his body nor a trace of his existence has been found. His hard drive on his computer was destroyed.
The charges against Jerry Sandusky are sickening and unfathomable. But if there was a squelching of these crimes years ago, directed at the highest levels of state law enforcement, that is equally disgusting and should be investigated thoroughly.
Maybe a federal inquiry will get to the bottom of whether the University is culpable or our corruptible state attorneys were looking the other way.
It should also be investigated as to why this whole unseemly mess and cover-up was kept ‘under wraps’ until Joe Pa could claim a now worthless wins record. DISGUSTING ALL THE WAY AROUND!!!!!!!
Question:
What do Centre County Child Protective Services, a dissappeared Centre County district attorney, several PA State Attorney generals (including our now governor), the State College Police, the PSU university police, a PSU coach who eye witnessed sodomy of a child, and at least several parents of victim children all have in COMMON?
Answer: They all knew more about Sandusky being a sexual predator than Joe Paterno and had more culpability in the continuing commission of his criimes and yet are not being held accountable in any way.
They have to meet to get their story and strategy straight. No one will know, the meeting is “private” you see.
Gricar didn’t bring charges in 1998 because there probably wasn’t enough evidence to do so.
It’s not reasonable to think that those post-1998 accounts reached Gricar or Corbett. They didn’t escape the mountains of State College and that was the problem!
What is the schizophrenic patrol at newslanc suggesting this time? That Penn State had Gricar killed and that Corbett is afraid of them?
EDITOR: 1) The story continued to evolve and by 2005 more reports would have reached Gricar, the county district attorney. Gricar would not have wanted to turn the investigation over to the state attorneygeneral. Such an investigation by necessity would need to be carried out on the state level.
With so explosive a matter, Gricar would likely have communicated directly with the attorney general, Tom Corbett, or one of his top aides although the latter is far less likely.
2) On the fateful day Gricar went to meet with someone. Like Jimmy Hoffa and Jonathon Luna, he never returned. His lap top was found later in the river…the hard drive removed. Someone killed him, and it likely had to do with the Sandusky scandal.
3) Certainly by 2005 a county district attorney missing under mysteriouis and apparently sinister circumstances should have triggered an investigation by the state. We would bet a thousand dollars to one that reports of the scandal had alreayd reach Harrisburg. That is why NewsLanc is asking “What did Tom Corbett know and what did he do about it?” We are not accusing him of complicity in a murder but do believe he may have been part of the sex scandal cover up. And who knows what information leaked from the A. G. office and led to Gricar’s death.
A disgraceful situation was allowed to coninue for over a decade. The man in charge of the sex sandal investigation was apparently murdered.
The person who may have been made aware of the scandal was the attorney general.
NewsLanc is encouraging the national media to turn its attention from Coach Joe Paterno to what the authorities knew, what they did or did not do with the information, and the murder of Gricar.
We think murder is also a serious crime.
Corbett got his flunky attorney general to go up there to State College, and based on Corbett’s previous knowledge from his tenures as AG, they knew where to look to rehash an old investigation as part of his plans to unseat the administration at PSU so he can get Tom code orange Ridge into the presidency of the school.
Now he has his stooges trolling message boards calling anybody who can see through his political shenanigans “schizophrenic.”

13 years to prosecute, a dead former D.A., a “senile” witness unable to testify, a victim #2 whom nobody can name or find, a “credible” witness who gives the most incredible testimony wherein he condemns himself if he were to give it, and the strongest case for prosecution against Sandusky will be victim #1 who it will be his word against the perp.
When Mcqueary figures out his deal with prosecutors for evolved testimony leaves him in a perjury trap and he isn’t going to keep his job like planned maybe he will finally tell the truth.
Was it really about bringing a predator to justice or was it most important to unseat the administration at PSU so Corbett can get a crony into the presidency of the school? The governor’s lapdogs ate the homework on this one.
Everybody who was involved with Second Mile, the “charity” started by Sandusky, should be investigated! It was a “good old boys” club with a perverted twist. PA Gov Tom Corbutt was also involved in it.
Coincidence?? One questions needs to be answered: Was Sandusky “grooming” the young boys to spend time with other members of his “charity”?? I think the worst is yet to be revealed.

Why do you suppose there has been NO mention of SANDUSKY’s LAPTOP or DESKTOP? Same reason there was NO mention (Nationally) of Gricar’s Murder….
There is a Pedophile Ring that has gone unreported because there are MANY members in high profile positions that wish to remain ANONYMOUS.
The only way these sub-humans will be discovered is if SANDUSKY decides to turn states evidence.
But this won’t happen because the people that killed Gricar have enough influence and power to make sure SANDUSKY gets a light sentence so he is not tempted to OUT the other members as well as those people

The Governor is Clearly one of those who either participated or knowingly
ignored the participants. The Police Department on Campus as well as the Regular Police Department is also in on it as well as some judges and lawyers. You bet your ass Corbett as well as Fisher knew all about what had transpired with Sandusky. They are all guilty of a massive cover-up which was intended to protect the reputation of PSU and the community.
The FBI should step in and take action against this RICO and every one of the conspirators.
Why is such an old posting reprinted? Readers of this blog know that short of confessing to criminal activity there is nothing Corbett could do to stop the criticism. I think of that every time I read your posts.
