The New Holland Borough Water Authority has a mountain to sell you.

PA INDEPENDENT: Borough officials in search of money to revamp their water infrastructure have gotten creative, selling five tracts of lush woodlands and a small reservoir totaling more than 500 acres.

But, in this tidy rural region, a public auction, set for Sept. 28, has generated its share of controversy among residents suspicious of the sale.

The authority has had the rights to the land in East Earl Township[Lancaster County] for the better part of the past 75 years, said Dick Fulcher, borough manager.
