[In response to the Watchdog’s August 2 SUNDAY NEWS commentary.]
“Thomas Bucher, 59 when he died, worked as a supervisor with the Impaired Driver Program of the Adult Probation and Parole Office for Lancaster County Court.”
“In his court filings, Blair — on behalf of Wilson Bucher — wrote that Thomas Bucher had been “diagnosed with signs of paranoid schizophrenia” in 1975, though he was never medicated for that condition.”
So this former Judge and District Attorney and his attorney son-in-law, both officers of the court, had no problem with Thomas working as a supervisor for a court directed program right up until his death, but now argue that he was incompetent to make decisions about his own personal affairs five years prior to his death (while working for the court)?
Even worse, the Judge’s own daughter testified that her father told his son, and her brother, that he was “…out of the family,’ or something like that.” I guess he really meant was that Thomas was “out” but his money was still “in.”
Disgraceful.
