Table games a winning strategy for CU-DCCC deal

DAILY TIMES:  ….While for more than a year Harrah’s has been doing battle with declining revenues from its slots operation, table games arrived in Chester with a bang.

Numbers from the state Gaming Control Board released this week show Harrah’s as the No. 1 casino in the state for revenue from table games in October. The casino raked in $5,800,755, putting it slightly ahead of Parx Casino at Philly Park in Bucks County. Of course, it should be noted that Harrah’s also has more tables, 99, in play than any other casino in the state.

For those who continue to carp about this ever-widening foray into what some consider a social malady, keep this in mind. Those numbers in October include $812,106 in state taxes, as well as $116,015 in local revenue…  (more)
