Supreme Court suspends McCaffery over porn e-mails

PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER: The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has suspended Justice Seamus McCaffery following revelations that he sent pornographic e-mails to state employees from a private account.

The court released an order late Monday afternoon saying it had decided to suspend McCaffery on “an interim basis,” and with pay. It also said that, within 30 days, the state’s Judicial Conduct Board must determine whether there is probable cause to file formal charges against the justice.

The board handles judicial ethics complaints, and has already launched an investigation into McCaffery’s e-mails… (more)
