LETTER: Stop legislating moral behavior

We must decriminalize drugs and stop legislating moral behavior. Frankly, what one does on their own time, in their own homes, is none of our business.

The war on drugs is a failure. It’s time we took the criminal element out of our midst. By doing so, we take away money from gangs and dangerous thugs and return it to the coffers of the American People via taxes.

Talk about relieving our national debt… The bloody war on the Mexican Border would all but disappear. Major cities would clean up their criminal element. Our police forces would concentrate on real crimes such as murder, theft and rape.

While I don’t agree that all drugs are good (prescribed or otherwise) we must take a step back and realize that we really have no control over what people say, think or do. End prohibition. This is America.
