Another $11 million in expenditures by Pennsylvania’s gubernatorial candidates heading down the stretch to the election has smashed the state’s campaign spending record.

Including the four-way Democratic Party primary, spending on the race since 2013 has passed $73 million. That beats campaign spending of nearly $70 million during the gubernatorial race of 2002, when Democrat Ed Rendell won.’’’ … (more)
