LANCASTER INTELLIGENCER JOURNAL NEW ERA: Lancaster Newspapers Inc. announced Thursday it is hiring the president and publisher of the Pulitzer Prize-winning Patriot-News of Harrisburg, John A. Kirkpatrick III, to be its next president.
Kirkpatrick, a veteran newsman who has overseen the dramatic transition of the 100,000-plus-circulation newspaper into a digital-first media company that includes PennLive.com, informed executives and newsroom staff in Harrisburg of his decision Thursday morning.
