PENNLIVE: Tolls on the Pennsylvania Turnpike will be increased 6 percent for both E-ZPass and cash customers in 2016. The increase will take effect at 12:01 a.m. on Jan 3.
As a result, the most common toll for a car traveling one turnpike exit will increase next year from $1.09 to $1.16 for E-ZPass customers and from $1.70 to $1.80 for cash customers.
The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission plans to raise toll rates every year until 2044. The toll increases are expected to be 3 to 6 percent every year for the next three decades… (more)
EDITOR: Another example of the rampant corruption here in Pennsylvania, something that neither the media or the public seems to care about. As a result, they get the government they deserve. Perhaps Attorney General Kathleen Kane might have made a difference, but she has been stripped of power and hounded out of office almost from the start of her tenure in office.
