SCRANTON TIMES- LEADER / AP: Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane confirmed Monday that she was testifying before a grand jury overseen by a special prosecutor exploring whether her office disclosed secret investigative information, and said she is fighting to do her job without interference.
Kane read a statement to reporters as she entered her eastern region office to testify, accompanied by two outside lawyers, but declined to answer questions afterward about the secretive process.
“The Office of Attorney General has cooperated from the beginning of this process and I will do the same,” Kane said. “I will tell the special prosecutor the truth and the facts surrounding the disclosure of information to the public that was done in a way that did not violate statutory or case law regarding grand jury secrecy… (more)
