NewsLanc acquires almost 2000 pages of Lancaster County Solid Waste Management Authority minutes

For the past week, reporter Bill Keisling has ‘buried himself’ in records obtained from the LCSWMA through an open records request.

He has discovered startling information that provides hard facts and substantiation to previous NewsLanc speculations and contentions, as recently described in Can the LCSWMA fish swallow the Harrisburg Incinerator whale?

For the moment, it is Keisling who feels as though he is the fish that  has “swallowed a whale” as he methodically reviews page after page of the internal history of the LCSWMA’s board’s discussions over the past years of the potential acquisition of the Harrisburg Incinerator.

A series based on the minutes will hopefully commence within the next few days.  “Real Reporting” (per our masthead) requires patience, especially on the part of the editor.
