In response to an inquiry from NewsLanc, Mark Wilson, Director Adult Probation & Parole Services, confirmed that the $88,665 added by the Commissioners to the county budget for “Adult Probation and Parole Services” was the result of a state grant that “supports the planning, development, and training activities for the implementation of a Mental Health Court here.”
Wilson further advised that “Late 2009 is the target start date.”
