I was among those joining the YES Men in announcing a new clean energy program at a Homeland Security Conference.The energy would be produced on Indian reservations and provide enough energy for the whole country — and provide Native People’s with funding for their communities as well as end wars for oil. The speeches by the YES Men as a fake Department of Energy spokesperson and a fake representative of the Bureau of Indian Affairs, not only discussed the benefits of clean energy but the history of ethnic cleansing of Native People’s.
At the end of the announcement we were able to get the entire room of Homeland Security personnel and federal contractors to join in a circle dance.
