Legal Intelligencer: Kane’s Law License Temporarily Suspended

LEGAL INTELLIGENCER: Attorney General Kathleen Kane’s law license has been temporarily suspended by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

In a per curiam order issued Monday, the justices announced the suspension, upon consideration of the responses to a rule to show cause why her license should not be suspended.

The order said it should not be construed as removing Kane from “elected office,” and is limited to the temporary suspension of her law license.

According to the order, Kane is to comply with the rules governing formerly admitted attorneys. The order also said Kane has the right to petition for dissolution or amendment of the suspension order.
