WATCHDOG: A house of worship was holding its annual awards dinner at the Marriott. On the way to the meeting, the religious leader stopped by his office to pick up some exhibits. He found a fire had started in a storage room, called for help, and stayed long enough to see that the blaze was put out and the building secured. Thus he arrived at the dinner late and was rebuked by the chairman of the board as being “A Johnny-come-lately.”
The point of the story: The New Era editors have a very short memory. Growl!
