In editorial “New Pa. bridge restrictions”, the editors state:

“As things stand now, the bridges are unsafe, Secretary Barry J. Schoch said at a press conference on Augug.22.”

WATCHDOG: What Schoch actually said was “We’re trying to extend the life of these bridges. … They are not unsafe.” Dropping a “not” can happen to us all. But someone at the New Era should have caught it.
