Jerry Sandusky trial: State police trooper said investigation warranted charges

The state police trooper who initially handled the Clinton County case against Jerry Sandusky believed there was enough evidence from a teenage boy — now known as Victim One — to charge Sandusky with indecent assault.

Instead, a three-year grand jury investigation ensued, which led to more than 50 counts of child sex abuse against 10 children, and is still ongoing. Sandusky’s trial started yesterday…

Gov. Tom Corbett has been criticized for supposedly delaying the investigation as attorney general while he ran for governor. Corbett has denied those allegations

EDITOR: Note how cautious the media is about mentioning that the “king wears no clothing.” We would bet dollars to donuts that any widening investigation of Penn State officials ends up on the doorstep of then attorney general and now governor Tom Corbett.

  1. Just about anywhere I know of when a sex abuse victim is found “credible” as was the case with Victim #1 an immediate arrest is made to prevent further crimes from happening. Why 3 years from his initial complaint?

    It seems the fishing expedition to get PSU overrode concerns for public safety. PSU is definitely part of this scandal but most of the crimes took place off campus. Yet the McQueary testimony (still no victim identified) is considered the “key” testimony.

    Something just doesn’t add up.
