Questions are now being asked in Israel about whether Mr Netanyahu’s all or nothing strategy of opposing an interim deal served Israel’s interests.
The leader of Israel’s centre-left Labour party praised the prime minister on Monday for “putting the issue on the global agenda” but also said he was “creating unnecessary panic”.
