The following appeared with a photo of the accused: “A Lancaster man has been arrested for allegedly exposing himself to females in two store parking lots, East Lampeter Township police said…. On April 27 at about 1:30 p.m., ———– exposed himself to a woman as she drove past him in the parking lot at Walmart on Lincoln Highway East,” police said.
WATCHDOG: Must have been a slow news day to report on so inconsequential a matter.
We continue to express our disapproval for showing someone’s picture prior to the party being convicted of a crime, especially when the matter is a relatively petty offense.
Also, we note the declaration that the accused (they gave the name, we won’t) had exposed himself. We thought that was for the jury to determine.
