HUFFINGTON POST

Article “Mitt Romney Orders Boston Market For Thanksgiving, Paper Reveals” concludes:

As Romney adjusts to civilian life, the Republican party is trying to move on without him.

“Still, as a Romney counselor in the Post story notes, the ex-candidate is not one to wallow in self-pity. Unlike post-2000 Al Gore, the counselor says, ‘You won’t see “heavyset, haggard Mitt.” ’ ”

WATCHDOG: Unlike Romney who only won 47% of the vote count, Gore led George W. Bush by half a million votes.  Furthermore, he would have won in the Electoral College except for a bizarre accident of history resulting from the poorly designed ‘Butterfly ballot’ in Palm Beach County, FL which resulted in Jews mistakenly casting their vote for conservative Pat Buchanan.

Gore, along with the rest of us in retorspect, had reason to be despondent.
