Health care proposals being misrepresented

I have become OVERWHELMED with the amount of intolerance, hatred, and outright LIES that have been spread around so much recently.

For example: I have been working to keep informed about the health care proposals currently being floated, just like I work to keep informed about the hotel and convention center project. I can truthfully tell you that the overwhelming majority of what I have received in forwarded emails and read in online posts about the various health care proposals is nothing more than exaggerations and blatant lies.

From the perspective of someone who likes to be well-informed, the attacks on the various health care proposals are VERY much like the lies we were told IN SUPPORT OF the taxpayer-financed hotel and convention center project in downtown Lancaster, PA.

Be very, very careful. History is already repeating itself, after only a few short years.

  1. Really? And have you read the thousands of pages in all 5 major bills currently being considered, so that you can tell with certainty what is true and what is not? I doubt it. So what is truth, and how do we know? This basically says that you think a final version of a health care bill will be what you want it to be, and no one should dare to oppose it because you think it’s great even though at this time you have no idea what will be in it. Yeah.

    Sorry, not so much.

  2. Until the Federal government steps up and modifies their laws to allow a reasonable number of immigrants to enter this country legally, we have no other choice but to start enforcing the laws. The intention of this law is to penalize the illegal criminals and while it will no doubtably spill over unfortunately to good people I don’t see any other option. Other than legalizing the drugs that are really the problem here. Drug trafficking is responsible for the increase crime not the illegals.

  3. The law is designed to protect the citizen of Arizona as well as the undocumented immigrants. If an illegal reports a crime or requests police help they will not be prosecuted under this law.
