Harrisburg Hope founder Alan Kennedy-Shaffer wins state appeal allowing him to continue with grassroots group

 HARRISBURG PATRIOT-NEWS:  The founder of grassroots community group Harrisburg Hope has won the appeal he filed with Gov. Tom Corbett’s office of Administration, allowing Alan Kennedy-Shaffer to continue leading the organization during his free time.

The PLCB claimed Kennedy-Shaffer’s involvement with the group violated the code of conduct because his organization promoted a political agenda.

But Kennedy-Shaffer refused to step down from his Harrisburg Hope post, saying his organization promoted no agenda and that he invited political leaders from both sides of the aisle to participate in the numerous community forums it holds at the Midtown Scholar bookstore… (more)
