Gov. Corbett trails five Democrats in new PPP poll

PENN LIVE: A new Public Policy Polling survey finds Gov. Tom Corbett in a deeper re-election hole than previous polls suggested.

The poll, released Tuesday, finds Corbett losing to five potential Democratic challengers despite none of them having high name recognition.

The governor trails state Treasurer Rob McCord, U.S. Rep. Allyson Schwartz, and former U.S. Rep. Joe Sestak each by a 45-34, 11 point margin. He lags behind former state environmental protection secretary John Hanger 41-34, and former state revenue secretary Tom Wolf 42-33…   (more)
