Could Suspension, Porn Affect Kane’s Criminal Case?

LEGAL INTELLIGENCER: …But the news that her license was suspended by the Supreme Court might not be all bad for Kane. Criminal defense attorney and former Bucks County first assistant district attorney David Zellis said the news could support Kane’s argument that there are powerful forces in state government seeking to remove her from office.

“The idea of the Supreme Court taking her license, even temporarily, plays into the whole notion of her position that there’s this conspiracy out there because of what she exposed,” Zellis said. “The ultimate question is how does this play in the court of public opinion.”

Although one court watcher, who declined to be named, said the high court appeared to be “bullying” Kane by unanimously suspending her license before she had been convicted of any crime, not everyone agreed with that sentiment… (more)

EDITOR: Kathleen Kane and her team properly understand that her fate hinges on the decision of a jury. When she is acquitted, which the editor believes, based upon what information we have reviewed, will be the case, then all hell is going to break loose. The Supreme Court judges themselves will be in trouble, as will plenty of others.

And no matter how they play it, what little respect that remains for the probity of the Philadelphia Inquirer and Daily News will evaporate. It won’t be good news for LNP either which has twice editorialized for Kane to step down.
