Be careful about changing method of electing president

From the READING EAGLE:

…The Issue: State Republican leaders want to end the practice of awarding Pennsylvania’s electoral votes on a winner-take-all basis.

Our Opinion: Apportioning votes by congressional district would hurt the state’s clout and may not have the political impact supporters might expect.

It is bad enough that both parties use the redistricting process to strengthen their hands in Congress and the state Legislature. Extending that advantage to the realm of presidential politics strikes us as a bad idea…
