Attorney General Kathleen Kane faces pressure to sign lottery contract

HARRISBURG PATRIOT-NEWS:  …A spokesman for Camelot declined comment when asked if it was considering granting yet another extension on its bid to take over the day-to-day management of the Pennsylvania Lottery. Another extension would mean that the commonwealth would hold on to Camelot’s $50 million bid security payment longer while it is not earning interest… 

Kane had 30 days to complete her review, which was to expire this Friday. Messages left with Kane’s office seeking comment were not returned.

Last week, Kane’s office told The Associated Press the administration responded to clarifying questions from the attorney general’s office about the contract. That information exchange caused the 30-day review period to start over…  (more)
