Another poll gives Murkowski big lead

EDITOR’S NOTE:  This is an amazing story.   It suggests that there is a moderate wing to the Republican Party in Alaska, and perhaps throughout the nation.   It has simply has been stifled or asleep since 2000.  Recall that George W. Bush ran as a moderate and then swung to the right.

A third survey of the Alaska Senate race released this week shows write-in candidate Lisa Murkowski with a substantial lead.

Murkowski received 37 percent, Republican Joe Miller received 27 percent and Democrat Scott McAdams received 23 percent, according to the Dittman Research and Communications poll released Friday afternoon. Thirteen percent of voters were undecided.

This is the third poll released in two days to show Murkowski with a substantial lead – and the first poll from a Miller supporter to show him trailing the incumbent. Dittman has done some polling and media work recently for Miller…  (more)
