Another PAM trustee resigns, leaving only the founders

With the resignation of board of trustee member Terry Field “on the advice of counsel”, only co-founders Michael J. Jamanis and Fran Veri remain.

A source close to the couple indicated that they would soon announce their intention to close the school.

If negotiations for Millersville University to acquire the Prince Street academy are successful, what appears as a serious reversal may in time be construed as a success since the couple will have brought a music campus to downtown Lancaster, which was precisely what they and those who supported them set out to do.

  1. Desperation time! In the end, any deal will be between the bank and the successful bidder. At this point, it really doesn’t really matter what “the Founders” want. Soon the final curtain will fall on the soap opera that is the Pennsylvania Academy of Music.

  2. The acquisition of the PAM building by Millersville University is absolutely the best that could happen! I believe the University will bring new ideas, enthusiasm and community outreach and I hope with all my might Lancaster will have this opportunity.
