An example of an oxymoron

Headline “Lancaster Newspapers charting new direction” and “…the company named Ernest Schreiber as executive editor, overseeing its news-gathering operation seven days a week.”

Forward to the past!   We can expect  more convention center type slant, viscous attacks on critics of the establishment, titillating news articles, and photos of women accused of prostitution.

And perish the thought that he will be allowed to write New Era editorials.

Some progress!   Some future!

  1. Once again, LNP seriuosly drops the ball, and insults it readership by bringing back a ‘good ole boy’ who won’t rock the establishment, who won’t challenge the Power Elite; and who won’t objectively ‘investigate’ the real hard stuff (Convention Center/PSP, the Lancaster Police Department, Majoy Gray’s bow-ties, etc. etc).

Lancaster Countians will NOT get the truth as long as the current ownership/management of LNP stays in place. “Fluff” pieces (Larry Alexander; Bernard Harris, Jeff Hawkes, Tom Murse and Gil Smart come to mind – by the way they are all on the left side of the aisle) is NOT what I want in a newspaper.
