You are invited to spend an hour with Dr. Tom O’Connor

Many have read articles opposing the War on Drugs by Tom O’Connor, MD. Here is an opportunity to share his reminiscences and plumb his wisdom in depth, not only concerning marijuana but also police violence and the nature of ‘bad guys’ over the ages.

According to Dr. Tom: “This is a story I’ve blogged about to a small audience. Hopefully, the U-tube video will reach a wider audience. The scandalous rate at which American cops are shooting citizens and getting away with it also need to be told.

Dr. Tom has been an advocate for medical marijuana for many years. While a retired surgeon, he was recruited to interview patients and give recommendations as proscribed by California’s Proposition 215. Having a clientele that was willing to use a medication for which they could be jailed and fined intrigued him and he began to take careful notes as he interviewed patients.

Dr. Tom’s blog is at http://www.doctortom.org/ where he keeps us updated with his observations on world events. Dr. Tom believes that the war on drugs and the war on minorities are correlated.

Appalled at the killing in Fergeson, MO, he found and is analyzing the data regarding killings by law enforcement officers in America. It turns out that Michael Brown was just one of 103 killings in the month of April, 2014 throughout America! He believes this is related to deep resentments in our society still harbored from slavery. Remember that not too long ago lynchings were also rampant in America.

He has accumulated a database of over 7000 patients that he is in the process of analyzing in detail, but he has made some fascinating preliminary findings. For example, many patients seem to use marijuana to compensate for an absent or neglectful father.
