Wolf Administration seeks legal help to go after Harrisburg’s incinerator claims

PENN LIVE COLUMN: … [Gov. Tom] Wolf’s Office of General Counsel on Monday issued a request for proposals for outside legal help to win reimbursement from financial, legal and other professionals who advised city and county officials along the way.

The state is leading on this process as part of its ongoing management of the city’s financial recovery under Act 47.
There is no guaranteed outcome.

But if successful, this civil restitution effort could conceivably net millions of dollars to be split among the city, Dauphin County and Assured Guaranty Municipal Corp., the bond insurer that backed much of the incinerator debt… (more)
