Wine or beer? Supermarket lobbyists outspent beer distributors

I believe they are getting BEER licenses.  In the state of PA you have to buy an existing liquir license, there is no other way to serve liquor or wine.  BEER is very easy to get and now that the legislature has changed laws to allow the sale and distribution of beer in food stores, the next to get the ok will be convenience stores as SHEETZ is already positioning their A stores to carry BEER.

From what I have heard the lobbying to stop this from happening from bar owners and beer distributors did not fill the elected official pockets enough so they got sold down the river by the grocery stores and soon the convenience stores.

Only speaking for PA we are becoming a state of casinos and beer outlets.  Soon the new governor will allow the state to sell the liquor stores to private owners like the surrounding states already do.  Problem is that it is not creating JOBS, just immediate revenue.

I would not want to be in the rest. or bar business now.  It is all about staying home and cutting back, maybe I should consider showing why one should buy a bigger home to accommodate a big screen theatre, drink your booze in your media room and shop where popcorn and pizza is cheap.  Look at the money you will save in eating out and going to the movies:  no babysitter, no tips at rest. and wholesale on the booze.  The money you will be saving you can buy a larger home, pay higher utilities, taxes and maintenance with your savings!!!!
