When traveling, age has it prerogatives

Traveling from NYC to JFK airport, I took a 777 limousine. The cost is not juch more than a taxi and it is was prompt to a fault, 20 minutes early. The driver with the help of Google avoided heavy Interstate congestion by wending his way through local Queens avenue, namely Woodlawn Avenue.

Being over 75, I did not have to remove my shoes or sweater when passing through security.

Again because of age, I was allowed to board the plane at the outset so that I could find my seat and put away my luggage without a rush. My Lufthansa premier economy seat allows extra leg room, which is important for my health and blood circulation.

When I encountered trouble plugging my ear phones into my arm rest, a kindly Korean gentleman from across the aisle volunteered that it wasn’t possible (although it had been on earlier flight) and showed me an alternative way to connect to the monitor.

When passing through Munich on the way to Hungary, I look forward to having some apple strudel and hot vanilla sauce. It wasn’t on the breakfast menu but, to my pleasant surprise, the server told me ten minutes after I had settled just for some coffee that it could be prepared for me. Very kind. Perhaps age related; perhaps not.
