“Rising health care spending slows; Report says more go without in recession” states:

“Health care spending [in 2008] outpaced the 2.6% growth in the overall economy, accounting for 16.2% of the gross domestic product compared to 15.95 in 2007.  It was 13.6% in 2000.”

WATCHDOG: Where will it end?  The health care industry has become a parasite rather than a salvation.  LGH take note.   Growl!
