Toomey’s tall task: Defending voting record this time around

TIMES LEADER/ AP: Former Navy vice admiral Joe Sestak tells a punchy story on the campaign trail about Pat Toomey, the incumbent he wants to beat in Pennsylvania’s important U.S. Senate election this year.

He says Toomey voted to send him to war, visited him on the aircraft carrier as its warplanes bombed Afghanistan and then went home and voted against veterans’ appropriations bills.
