I think it’s funny how everyone here is so quick to jump on the illegal “Mexicans” that are in this country. What about ALL the Asian’s that are here illegally? I do agree that we need immigration reform but for ALL illegal immigrants not just pick and choose. For those who say we need the jobs for “hard-working Americans”, well they are more than welcome to go out to the fields, deal with heat or freezing cold and pick the fruit and vegetables that we all eat on a daily basis. However, a lot of those crying are the ones sitting on their butts collecting welfare.
[If proposed legislation] does not include crippling fines and JAIL time for people who hire and house undocumented workers, nothing will change. If you put a piece of candy on the sidewalk ants will come for it. If put a rock in front of the candy the ants will go around and over. If you sit there all day with a magnifying glass and thumb squashing and burning them they will still come and you wasted your day.
Until you get rid of the candy and the ones placing it on the sidewalk the ants are going to come.
I’m gonna get lit up by the softies but I’ll say it anyway: If you want to live in America, learn English. We should not have to cater to immigrants who can’t be bothered to try and assimilate. Also, pay taxes.
I have an honest job and each paycheck a nice hefty chuck disappears to the government (the same government that wants to give these people drivers licenses..). Diversity is great, but if you want to live here and expect people to welcome you with open arms, contribute to our culture.. don’t try and resist it.
