In a featured “In my opinion” piece titled “From a Republican: GOP is imploding, and putting U. S. in peril”, attorney John S. May, chair of the Manor Township Board of Supervisors, states: “…The Republican Party is hopelessly and possibly irretrievably fractured. On the one hand, we have a group of newly elected Republicans, tea partyers generally speaking, with radical ideologies who will flat out vote against raising the debt ceiling under any circumstances. On the other hand, we have irresponsible Republican leadership that won’t confront them and fears being voted out of office. This leadership would permit the nation to sink rather than risk being voted out of office.
“The debt ceiling was raised seven times during the administration of George W. Bush, and $4 trillion was added to the national debt while we engaged in Bush’s war in Iraq — a war that was never budgeted, a war that was paid for completely with borrowed funds.
“The Republican Party with whom I registered many years ago no longer exists or is so totally dysfunctional that I must seriously consider leaving it.”
WATCHDOG: Sounds like another one who didn’t want to leave the party but who the party left. Two wags of the tail.
Once again LNP chooses to highlight a liberal/progressive viewpoint demeaning the GOP…who said the Sunday news is neutral in their political leanings? The tail is wagging the dog.
