A Letter to the Editor from David Foertsch observes:
… “Great powers spend years in decline before toppling. Why do they decline? Serial poor decision making. It has taken both parties decades of serving special interests to fritter away huge resources and create the current mess in which we find ourselves. Both are more than willing to mortgage our future to maintain power and funnel benefits to their benefactors.”…
WATCHDOG: A wag of the tail. Sadly to say, the USA is in precipitous decline for the reasons succinctly stated above and others.
