In “Live by the Fox, die by the fox”, columnist Gil Smart opens:

“Stop for a moment and consider how much better the health care reform bill might have been had Republicans participated in the legislative process, rather than stood in the proverbial hospital door:

WATCHDOG: We could not have said it better. Two shakes of the tail!

By their leadership insisting that the Republicans vote as a block, they neglected the interests and desires of the individual members’ constituents. As as a result, the Democrats had to succumb to the unreasonable demands of some of their party members to obtain the necessary votes, further weakening the resulting bill.

  1. I tend to think just the opposite…sorry Gil…..Democrats will ‘pay the toll, at the poll’ for creating, passing and jamming down the throats of hard-working Americans a bill that will cripple the nation for generations, will lend itself to ‘special interests’, will reward those who are content to ‘play the game’ and will create so much additional ‘pork’ that we can all eat hot dogs every day for the rest of our lives.

Maybe some day Nancy Pelosi will emote Sir Alec Guiness’es classic line near the end of ‘The Bridge Over the River Kwai’…..”My God, what have I done”?

  2. I am not someone who bets but you are CLEARLY incorrect in your assessment of the coming election. The dems will be CRUSHED.
