A recent article “Steinman Foundation: Nonprofit’s co-chair steps down” concerning the retirement of R “Peggy” Steinman as co-chair states the following:
“The Steinman Foundation is a local, independent family foundation funded by the companies that make up Steinman Communications; those companies include LNP Media Group, which publishes LNP, The Caucus Lancaster Farming, The Ephrata Review; The Lititz Record Express and the Elizabethtown Advocate”
This apparently is false.
The generosity behind current contributions from the Steinman Foundation are attributable to assets received in earlier times, presumably from past generations of the family.
A search of IRS 990 reports by the foundation indicate no current donations for 2017,2016, and only $2,000 for 2014 from a source not identified.
