State prosecutor summons Mubarak

The Egyptian state prosecutor has summoned for questioning Hosni Mubarak, the ousted president as part of investigations into the killing of protesters and embezzling funds.

Mr Mubarak’s sons Gamal and Alaa were also summoned in the embezzlement probe according to a statement issued by the prosecutor who also said that comments made by Mr Mubarak denying accusations of corruption would not affect the investigations.

Speaking for the first time on Sunday since he was forced to step down two months ago, Mr Mubarak denied allegations that he and his family had obtained wealth illegally…
