Social Forum plus cherry blossums good reasons to visit DC

The Social Forum at the National Occupation of Washington, DC (www.NOWDC.org) is looking excellent. See http://nowdc.org/google_docs/0/doclist or go to www.NOWDC.org under Social Forum on front page.

It is open to all. No charge. Filled with lots of useful workshops for occupiers, activists, advocates. A great opportunity for occupiers to share their experience — what worked, what didn’t in the fist six months, how to deal with the media, what is our strategy?, how to we build the movement? — lots of great information and great networking opportunities.

Except for the first event, Control the Corporations on April 2nd, the Social Forum Workshops will be held on April 3 through 5 and April 10 through 13 at Friends Meeting of Washington, DC, an historic quaker meeting house located at 2111 Florida Ave., NW near DuPont Circle. It is easily accessible by metro on the Red Line. In addition to the meeting rooms, there are beautiful gardens. There are many restaurants within walking distance or paticipants may choose to bring a lunch and eat in the gardens.

This is going to be a great event. Please spread the word and urge people to attend.
